The Duchess Wears Spring Colours For a Reception at Buckingham Palace

Today, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a reception at Buckingham Palace to mark the 50th anniversary of the investiture of the Prince of Wales.

William and Kate joined the Queen, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Princess Royal, along with Prime Minister Theresa May.

More from the Telegraph:

The Prince arrived at the event, which is hosted by the Queen, with his wife, sons and daughters-in-law, the Cambridges and Sussexes, in step with the heir to the throne as he entered the White Drawing room.
Welsh band Stereophonics, who were supported by the Prince's Trust in their early days, were also at the event, as was Games Of Thrones star Owen Teale.

On July 1 1968, Charles was formally invested with the title at Caernarfon Castle by Her Majesty the Queen.

The investiture regalia he wore was on display, including the coronet, sword, ring and rod. Letters Patent for the creation of Charles as Prince of Wales in 1958 were also showed.

The reception included a musical performance from students of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, one of Charles' royal patronages. Welsh composer Paul Mealor wrote a new piece inspired by the legend of the Lady of Llyn y Fan Fach, a mountain lake near the Prince of Wales' Welsh home.

The Duchess looked stunning in a dress made by her own dressmaker. It is very similar to the piece she wore to Pippa's wedding in May of 2017. The dress features ruffle details and a pleated skirt. The pastel blue colour was perfect for the day, considering Spring has sprung!

She paired the dress with what appears to be the Rebecca Blush Nude Suede Pointed Courts (with thanks to Middleton Maven). The £425.00 pumps are described: ''A

stylish pointed court shoe in a soft nude blush suede. This style is perfect for creating a chic, effortless look. With a super straight heel that is flattering to your foot and leg, this new addition to the Emmy London collection is great for your workwear wardrobe but also looks fantastic paired with jeans. The blush kid suede is sublimely soft and is a great neutral tone to pair with a variety of colours.''

Kate carried an Alexander McQueen bespoke clutch.

And she accessorised with her aquamarine and diamond earrings.
