This evening the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a gala performance of award-winning drama 'The Wider Earth.'
I just wanted to take this as the perfect opportunity to welcome you to my new site. A few changes have been made to make it look more professional and I love it. Please do feel free to send me any suggestions or recommendations to improve it though. Back to the engagement!
The Wider Earth is a play that gives the audience a chance to join Charles Darwin on HMS Beagle's daring voyage to the far side of the world and discover the gripping story behind the theory that changed everything. The award-winning play features over 40 remarkable handcrafted puppets, dazzling animations and a brilliant cast of seven in a brand new theatre at The Natural History Museum.
Tonight's engagement was in support of the Queen's Commonwealth Trust, of which Prince Harry is president, and the Queen's Canopy, the production's official charitable partner. The Queen's Commonwealth Trust uses it's network, platform and experience to enable young leaders to realize their dreams and hopes for the future, while the Queen's Canopy unites the whole Commonwealth to save one of the world's most important natural habitats - forests.
Harry and Meghan received their tickets from The Wider Earth puppet Sue the Tortoise!
They also met children from Urban Wise London, who connect people with their local urban environment and other oppurtunities for hand—on outdoor families.
Meghan's Outfit
This evening the Duchess brought back old pieces, opting for a cream ensemble. I was particularly happy to see her Amanda Wakeley Cream Sculpted Crombie Coat back. The $1,190 piece was first debuted for a Commonwealth Day Service, back in pre-Duchess days.
It is described as: '' A pristinely cut coat will pull your entire seasonal wardrobe together, and none come more elegant than our sculpted tailoring Crombie coat. Picture this elegant, rich cream outerwear over your favourite cotton tee and jeans, pulling them together to become a coordinated and considered outfit. Grab it as you run out of the door and your last-minute work wear transforms into innovative, luxurious style; a chic cover-up as the weather turns warmer.''
Underneath she wore a custom version of the Calvin Klein Logo Embroidered Turtleneck Maxi Dress, which is priced at £1,495. It features a turtleneck with logo embroidery and is finely knitted from virgin wool. Meghan’s version is of course slightly shorter.
Meghan’s gorgeous green suede pumps were first debuted for Prince Louis’ christening. It was thought at first they were a a sold out Sergio Rossi style, however it’s now possible they’re a sold out Ralph Lauren style.
Her clutch was also worn for Prince Louis’ christening. At first it wasn‘t identified, but after few months of research Laura identified it as the Ralph Lauren ‘Ricky’ Clutch (sold out). This was a masssive acheivement as she’s carried the piece multiple times now and I doubt it will be her last!
And she accessorised with her Vanessa Tugendhaft Precious Clover Stud Earrings, which are sold out.
Meghan finished off the look with her sold out Catbird Threadbare Ring.
A stunning look for the Duchess and an all round great engagement. Last week, Kensington Palace announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be visiting Morocco from the 23rd-25th of February. This is very exciting news, we can expect more details to be released in the coming days!
